Sade Sati (in English, Seven and a Half) is an astrological period of approximately 7½ years when a planet (usually Saturn) transits the twelfth, first and second houses from the janma rashi or natal moon of birth chart. This occurs when a planet transits the sign before, the sign after and the sign it is currently in or “sandwiched” as it is referred to. This transit has a deep impact on an individual depending upon the placement of planets, signs and Nakshatras (constellations).
