1. Shivratri ke din Shivji ke aradhana karna chahiye.
2. Shivling par puja karna chahiye, aur uske sath–sath Shivaling par dhup–deep jalana chahiye.
3. Shivji ki katha sunana chahiye.
4. Ann ka daan karna chahiye.
5. Somvar ko shivji ki stuti karni chahiye.
6. Shivji ke charno mein balidaan karna chahiye.
7. Shivji ke naam ka jaap karna chahiye.
8. Bhagwan Shiva ke mantra ka jaap karna chahiye.
9. Somavar ko prasad (naivedya) banana chahiye aur usko charno mein balidhaan karna chahiye.
10. Shivji ke mandir mein jaye aur unka darshan kare.
